EV charging across Tamil Nadu
NearPlug is starting in Tamil Nadu's Tier-2 towns and temple routes, where public chargers are few and far between. Pick your town to see how charging works there — or say Hi on WhatsApp from anywhere to see spots within 30 km.
- Central Tamil NaduEV charging in Trichy · TiruchirappalliTrichy sits where the Chennai, Madurai, Thanjavur and Karur roads meet, so EV drivers pass through on long trips as often as they live here. Temple visits and weddings mean hours parked in one place — time a home or hall socket can turn into charge.See Trichy
- Cauvery deltaEV charging in Thanjavur · TanjoreThanjavur draws visitors to the Brihadeeswarar temple all year, and the delta towns around it — Kumbakonam, Swamimalai, Nagapattinam — make for long day trips. Away from the main highways, charging options thin out quickly.See Thanjavur
- South Tamil NaduEV charging in MaduraiMadurai is the base for southern pilgrimage and hill trips — Rameswaram to the east, Kodaikanal to the west, Tirunelveli and Kanyakumari to the south. Pilgrims often park for hours around the Meenakshi temple and set off on long drives the next day.See Madurai
- West Tamil NaduEV charging in Coimbatore · KovaiCoimbatore is an industrial city with lots of EV interest, and the gateway to the Nilgiris, the Isha Yoga Centre and the Kerala border. Hill roads up to Ooty are hard on range, so a full battery before you climb matters.See Coimbatore
- West Tamil NaduEV charging in SalemSalem is a crossroads for traffic between Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore and Trichy, with the Yercaud hills just above the city. Drivers stopping on long highway runs need a reliable top-up close to the bypass.See Salem
- Far south Tamil NaduEV charging in Tirunelveli · NellaiTirunelveli is the last big city before Kanyakumari, close to the Tiruchendur Murugan temple and the Courtallam falls. The far south has long stretches between towns, which makes every reliable charging stop count.See Tirunelveli
